Ultimative and challenging mountaineering, North peak of Karanfili in Prokletije massif (Accursed mountains)! Most attractive hike tour in Montenegro! In the opinion of many of our guests and friends, it is the most beautiful view from one mountain top in Montenegro! Karanfili massif is a spectacular group of peaks in Prokletije massif which rises almost 1400 meters above valleys of Ropojana and Grebaja. In only 6,6km we need to beat about 1400m of elevation so already now it is clear that is not an easy task. This action is reserved only for fully ready mountaineers, there are exposed places which need maximum of attention.Trek starts from Grebaja valley and after entering in track, there is no single meter of flat part till the summit! Only uphill! 2 risky places are secured with cables for maximum safety.
From the summit we have a spectacular and unforgettable view of the Albanian part of the mountain from one side, and western part of Montenegro from another side. After pausing on top, we will start our very careful descent.
Times here are very varied depending on readiness, we need almost the same time to ascend and descend, about 3,5 -4 hours(for one direction). Distance 14,5km, 1400m of ascend and same of descent.
