A mountaineering tour, which offers views of the most beautiful landscapes of the Durmitor National Park, is a mountaineering pleasure and experience! Decorated with unique rock shapes (Sticksorrods), the name “Prutaš” (German) reflects. Mountain of the Poles) the true beauty of this summit is ideal. With an easy ascent along the deep, green slopes, breathtaking views over the glacier lakes “Škrčka Jezera”, including the peaks “Djevojka” (2440 m), “Bezimeni Vrh” (2487 m) and “Bobotov Kuk” (2525 m), the Prutaš hiking trail is probably the most beautiful trail in Durmitor National Park. If you come down from the plateau below the Prutaš summit and descend about 50 meters to the west, you will reach a viewpoint with a great view of the Sušica River Gorge and the Škrčka lakes.
Our start is from Šarban (Dobri Do 1,707 m) and we will reach this wonderful, grassy peak in the next 3 hours with a total climb of 700 m over the 4 km long path. This access is from the south side via the pass “Škrčko ždrijelo” (2114 m) and is considered the best and easiest access route to Prutaš. The path is decorated with gentle ridge lines, green mountain slopes and wonderful sloping layers of typical limestone formations. The summit is a sprawling plateau covered with grass, and the view that spreads from the summit is remarkable in all directions – you will take great photos! This is one of those hikes that offer the most beautiful views and are at the same time hiking pleasure and experience! Once at the top, you have a well-deserved time to rest while soaking up the beauty that surrounds you. This hike will be the highlight of your adventure in Montenegro and Durmitor National Park
